Enabling Yubikey U2F support in Linux

Posted by & filed under Linux.

If you’re using a Yubikey device with a Linux computer, you may have noticed that plugging in the device and pressing the button does emit a string of characters, however it fails to work with U2F websites when using, say, Google Chrome. In order to get it working, you’ll want to execute the following command… Read more »

Installing Redis on Debian as a Service

If you’d like to have the most recent version of Redis installed on your Debian machine, follow along with this guide. Unfortunately, the process of installing it is not as easy as `sudo apt-get install redis`, which you probably already knew since you’re reading this. The current version of Redis, at the time of me writing… Read more »

A Better Debian SSH Login Message

I’m a big fan of running Debian Linux on the server. To do a lot of administration it requires one to SSH into the machine. The default message displayed to the user contains a bunch of copyright information, which isn’t all that useful. Here’s an example of the default SSH MOTD on my server: $… Read more »
